Degree Authorization Act
Washington Student Achievement Council has determined that Seattle Theological Seminary qualifies for religious exempt status from the Degree Authorization Act for the following programs: Bachelor of Theology(B. Th.), Master of Divinity(M.Div.); Master of Theology(Th.M.); Doctor of Ministry(D. Min), and Doctor of Theology(Th. D.). The council makes no evaluation of the administration, faculty, business practice, financial condition or quality of the ooferings by this institution. 총 36점을 1년에 수료하고 B.TH에 진학가능합니다.
This 36-unit program may be taken on campus or at an off campus setting like intensive seminars. The twelve courses of the program correspond to courses taught in Seattle Theological Seminary's B.Th. program. Courses may be transferred to the B.Th. program, provided that the student first meets the entrance requirements of that program.

본교 혹은 타 신학교에서 M. Div.를 마친 자 혹은 그 이상의 학위를 마친자로 총 40학점의 1년 과정입니다. 50 페이지 분량의 졸업논문을 제출해야 합니다.
The Master of Theology degree is designed to enable qualified graduates in theology to broaden and deepen their theological knowledge and competencies beyond the M. Div. level. This one-year-degree (38 units) residential course offers students a combination of taught and research components. As with the full time, applicants usually enter their course in September and take a set of two semester length classes leading to examinations in May. From the outset, each student is assigned to a supervisor selected from the faculty members of the seminary, and in consultation with this person will seek at an early stage to define a topic for research. Guidance is given in basic research skills. The process of independent research continues under the direction of the supervisor beyond the period occupied by the taught classes.
The thesis of 20,000~25,000 words must give evidence of the candidates' capacity for independent research, and normally submitted not later than the end of the year of the study. Applicants should possess an M. Div. degree or its equivalent from a regionally accredited or other approved seminary or university, with an overall GPA of at least 3.0.

The Bachelor of Theology degree is a full, four year education covering all major areas of the Bible, theology, and ministry. It requires 192 units.

총 47학점으로 8학점의 학위논문(35,000~40,000 words)을 제출해야 합니다.
The Doctor of Ministry degree is an advanced professional program (47 quarter units) intended to enhance the practice of ministry for persons who hold the M.Div. degree or its equivalent, who have worked in a ministerial context for at least two years after earning the M.Div. degree, and who continue in the tasks and responsibilities of ministry during the course of their doctoral study. 8 units of doctoral thesis is required. 목사 안수를 받기 원하는 사람을 위한 과정으로써 본대학 신학부 졸업자 또는 4년제 대학 졸업자 이상자로서 총 120학점의 3년 과정입니다.
The Master of Divinity degree is designed for those who expect to enter the full-time professional Christian ministry(pastor, teacher, evangelist, church planter, missionary, or parachurch leader). The curriculum is designed to instruct students in the study of theology in its widest sense, so that they may grow in the knowledge of God, discover and develop their God-given gifts and become more effective members of the body of Christ. This involves a deepening understanding of God through academic discipline. The Master of Divinity degree requires total of 120 units, and prospective students must have earned a regular baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from regionally accredited or other approved college or university.
The thesis of 15,000~20,000 words must give evidence of the candidates' capacity for independent research, and normally submitted not later than the end of the third year of the study.
Course Requirements for the 120-Unit Master of Divinity
총 72학점 중 60학점의 성서, 신학, 목회학 강의 및 논문연구방법 세미나를 수강해야 하며, 12학점의 논문(50,000단어)을 제출해야 합니다.
A three year degree that prepares students for academic appointments in theological schools or leadership positions in the church. This program provides students with academically rigorous training, comparable to the demands of the Ph.D., focused on the ministries and practices of Christian communities.
